Gymnasium Rebuild

• Facilities: Discussed wifi needs for new building. Determined school could use hot spots to boost signal to new building until permanent conditions are available after winter break. Facilities hopes to pull new fiber optic cables and other data to the new building during the break.

• Design Team: 50% of Construction Documents (CD) completed. 

  The design team will pause at this stage until PACE approves the means and methods of the DD set.

Dec. 12 — Review of 50% of Construction Documents (CD)
 

• We discussed the construction timeline, material procurement delays, and an estimated completion target.

• Electricians began setting up essential data and communication systems for the new Field House building, which was a major step in having complete internet connectivity for our students and teachers.

• Facilities Team: Reviewed updates around site use, grass seeding near the new building, and new irrigation installation.

• ​​​​​​​Project Team/PACE: Project team presented the “As-Was” pricing to PACE for insurance review.

• ​​​​​​​Project Team: Completed assessment of the full Design & Development plan set for the gym rebuild.

• Design Team: Continued discussions on design progress and refinements.

• Facilities: Reviewed progress on the new athletic facility and determined that some systems (data, fire, intercom) would need to be completed during winter break due to early occupancy needs.

• Facilities: Facilities staff, students, and the weights coach moved mats and equipment into the new building. Students expressed appreciation for the new space.

• Architects/Engineers:  Investigated concerns about possible new damage; determined that no new issues were present.

• Project Team: The Project Team reviewed the completed “As-Was” design documents ahead of submitting them to PACE.
