Online and Hybrid Learning- Engage

Credit Recovery – Students in this tier are working on previously incomplete courses or remediating grades from in person coursework.

Hybrid Learning – Students in this tier are engaged in Original Credit via Edgenuity or Canvas with supervision and regular check-ins in with a teacher.

Engage – Students in this tier are using the platforms in a classroom to help reconnect them to school. Engage also offers career guidance and off site exploration to further a student’s plan for life after high school.

Online Only – Courses are conducted entirely online with no in-person meetings. Students complete assignments, participate in discussions, and take assessments through a virtual learning platform or in person. Includes both high school and college (RCC) courses Students receive clear expectations and goals from teachers and administration.  Those guidelines may include; time management expectations, course completion expectations, learning goals and quarterly review meetings. Students meet with their Engage teachers once per week. (minimum)

Asynchronous with Lab – Course content is delivered online at a flexible pace, but students are required to attend scheduled in-person lab sessions for hands-on learning experiences. Includes lab and practicum level work

In-Person – Traditional classroom-based instruction with scheduled face-to-face learning sessions, supplemented by digital resources and assignments as needed. Includes both high school and college (RCC, SOU) courses

Work Experience – students can get credit for work experience if employed and they provide a check stub.  (credit awarded through student services)

Academic Advising – Advisors/counselors meet with students for regular check-ins and goal-setting.

Office Hours & Tutoring – Offer both virtual and in-person support to assist students with academic challenges. 

Peer Collaboration – Facilitate study groups and discussion forums to encourage teamwork and knowledge-sharing.

Extra Curricular Activities and Athletics – Students may be eligible to participate in athletics and activities if they meet OSAA requirements and attendance requirements.
