Class of 2026 - Graduation Information

North Medford High School will have designated seating for individuals who are handicapped or wheelchair-bound.  All families with ADA-designated seating will sit together as long as seating allows. If it appears there won't be enough seating for families to sit together, you will be notified.

The sign-up link for ADA-designated seating and/or a handicap parking pass will be added here when it becomes available.  Seniors whose family has requested ADA seating and/or parking will receive an ADA pass with their graduation tickets at Senior Check-Out on Friday, May 22nd.

As we prepare to celebrate the achievements of our graduating seniors, we want to ensure that the graduation ceremony is accessible and enjoyable for all guests. If your family requires ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) seating accommodations for the event, we invite you to submit a request in advance.

Students participating in the graduation ceremony must strictly adhere to a professional dress code: dress shoes, collared shirts, ties, skirts/dresses of appropriate length, and tops with straps or sleeves. 

To ensure full participation, a change of clothes will be provided for students wearing jeans, t-shirts, shorts, athletic clothing, tanks, tennis shoes, casual sandals, or flip flops. Due to walking surfaces, dress shoes should have a wedge or flat bottom. Any students who have questions regarding what is appropriate or has financial difficulty in meeting these requirements should contact their school counselor.

Students participating in graduation must attend the graduation practice.

Practice will be held on the morning of Friday, May 29th at 9:30 a.m. at Spiegelberg Stadium. In order to participate in graduation, students need to satisfy all credit and competency requirements necessary for graduation. 

All graduates will receive 10 tickets.  Extra tickets will be given for attending the Senior Class Meeting (4/30/26) and completing the Senior Contract (required), which equals 12 possible tickets.

Babies do not require a ticket as long as they are sitting on a lap.

Admission to graduation will be by ticket only.

The Graduation Ceremony for North Medford High School's Class of 2026 will be on Friday, May 29th, at 7:00 p.m. at Spiegelberg Stadium.  Gates will open at 5:45 p.m.

North Medford High School would like to end the year in great fashion. This will include a first-class and formal graduation ceremony. All audience members will be expected to act in a mature manner and dress for the occasion. 

Any disruptive or immature behavior will result in the removal of the student or audience member from the ceremony.  No noisemakers permitted.

Audience members are expected to attend the entire ceremony. Once graduates have exited the stadium at the conclusion of the ceremony, audience members may exit to meet their graduates.

Latecomers to the graduation ceremony may be seated in an assigned area so as not to disrupt the ceremony.

During previous graduation ceremonies, guests who arrived early and saved seats for later members of their party caused many problems for the audience. Consequently, North Medford High School does not permit seat saving. Ticket holders will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. All ticket holders will be assured a seat. Staff ushers will assist groups in finding appropriate seating. 

We appreciate your cooperation in providing fair accommodations to all patrons. 

The cap and gown worn on graduation day is a tradition that dates back 700 years to the first organized institutions of learning. 

The front of the cap is indicated on the inside of the crown. 

The cap should be worn so that the mortarboard is level and not tipped to either side or to the back of the head. The point of the cap should be positioned approximately one inch above the eyebrows. 

The cap cannot be decorated or added to in any manner. 

The tassel is worn on the right side of the mortarboard. After your student receives his/her diploma cover, the class will switch their tassels from the right side to the left side in the direction of the principal to indicate that the diploma has been awarded.

The gown should be carefully pressed with a cool/warm iron and placed on a hanger until worn. Flowers, jewelry, or other adornments should not be worn on the gown.

Only school-provided regalia may be worn during the ceremony.  Call to schedule an appointment with Mr. Barber regarding any cultural or religious regalia.

All seniors walking in the graduation ceremony must wear the traditional cap and gown.

Information regarding the 2026 Baccalaureate Ceremony will be added here when it becomes available. 

Students will be handed their diploma covers when they walk onto the stage during the ceremony.  Official diplomas will be distributed immediately following the ceremony in the Oakdale Gym.
