PSAT

Each year, all 10th grade students take the PSAT during their regular school day at no cost. 11th grade students are encouraged to sign up to test in the Activities Office for a small fee.

Normally, North Medford students take this test in the fall, but due to COVID-19, it is anticipated that students will test in January.

What is the PSAT?

The PSAT (Preliminary SAT) is a standardized test and is timed with sections for Reading, Writing and Language, and Math. This test is the best preparation for the SAT and the ONLY way for students in the 11th grade to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. It's a great way to experience a standardized test, and pinpoint test-taking strengths, as well as areas that could use improvement.
